The days followed each other, more or less the same and the situation lasted 2 months. Could this period have been beneficial in some way? Do you feel any change after lockdown?
This lack of freedom has had a strong impact on all of us, but it has also been an opportunity: an awareness of our lives. Our habits, which are more or less good and go unnoticed in normal times, found themselves in the spotlight.
For my part, I told myself that it was first of all a return to the essentials and true values. Weren’t we all a little lost in this post-confinement society? In “automatic” mode? Because habits die hard!
This situation has prompted us to live in the moment and review our activities. Our choices finally. It allowed us to learn more about ourselves and to listen to each other. Because listening to oneself is not an easy task. Do you really listen to yourself? What do you want deep down inside?
Isn’t this an opportunity for real self-discovery? Yes, you are the most important person in your life. Daring to face yourself is not easy, but how liberating it is once you have succeeded. The discomfort of the beginning will gradually give way to a sense of well-being. It is this better being with yourself that will allow you to really be yourself and not the copy of a stereotypical image of our society.
It is having the strength to accept ourselves as we are, with our faults and our qualities, our weaknesses and our strengths. This pack of our true “I”, it becomes urgent to LOVE it, because to love oneself is also to love others as they are. Wouldn’t this also be an opportunity to bear witness to a greater humanity?
So what do we expect to show ourselves? In the end, liberation and sometimes even rebirth.
I am convinced that after we find ourselves, our choices and actions will be different, marked by a greater awareness and a higher will. It’s never too late to be happy-it’s just a matter of getting started, a little bit every day. Take a look at the other wellness items if you feel the need.
I dream of a more humane society where the common good – individuals, animals, our planet – comes first. A vision that may seem utopian, but I am convinced that it is also the wish of others: a gradual change towards a better future is possible. I am not talking about a step backwards. Rather, let’s move in the right direction with current and future technologies in a way that respects everyone. Do you think that one day we will be able to access them? I recently read that 58% of French people plan to consume locally, 50% want to consume less and reduce their needs, 28% would like to grow their own garden (Yougov study).
TWhat would you wish for in your future? In which society do you want to evolve?
